CHIKUSEI, Japan - New York Yankees pitcher Kei Igawa shakes hand with a fan in Chikusei, Ibaraki Prefecture, on Jan. 4 at a New Year party hosted by the local Hanshin Tigers fan club. Igawa, a native of Ibaraki, was with the Tigers before he signed up with the Yankees last November. (Kyodo)
