China becomes world's 2nd largest car market in 2006
BEIJING, China - Traffic jam is one of major problems facing Beijing. A total of 7.22 million cars were sold in China in 2006, making the country the world's second largest market after the United States, according to figures released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers. It overtook the Japanese market, which is now in third place. (Kyodo)
