Asashoryu grabs share of lead at New Year sumo

TOKYO, Japan - Mongolian grand champion Asashoryu (L) shoves off young gun Kisenosato on Jan. 14 to grab a share of the lead at 7-1 on the eighth day of the New Year Grand Sumo Tournament in Tokyo. Little known Tamakasuga's unbeaten run came to an end after he was beaten by Takekaze. (Kyodo)
