Japan, U.S. to hold joint fighter drills in Fukuoka
TOKYO, Japan - The Air Self-Defense Force base in Tsuiki, Fukuoka Prefecture, where Japan and the United States will hold part of a joint air force exercise next week. The drills had been held at the U.S. Kadena Air Base in Okinawa and the change of venue is part of a bilateral agreement to reduce the burden on Okinawa of hosting U.S. forces, Japanese officials say.
