France's Joubert wins gold at worlds
TOKYO, Japan - France's Brian Joubert (C), who shows his gold medal on the podium at the Figure Skating World Championships at Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium on March 22, is flanked by silver medalist Daisuke Takahashi of Japan (R) and bronze medalist Stephane Lambiel of Swizerland. Joubert, 22, pulled out of a planned second quad but had an otherwise error-free skate and went on to give France its first men's singles title in 42 years. (Kyodo)
