Seiyu resumes sales of U.S. beef before other major retailers
TOKYO, Japan - U.S. Ambassador to Japan Thomas Schieffer checks out U.S. beef at the Seiyu supermarket in Kinshicho, Tokyo on March 29 as part of a U.S. campaign to promote the sales of American beef. Seiyu, which is under the control of U.S. WalMart Stores Inc., resumed selling U.S. beef on March 29, the first major retailer in Japan to do so since the import ban was lifted last July. (Kyodo)
