Daimaru, Matsuzakaya shareholders OK merger plan

OSAKA, Japan - A shareholder of Daimaru Inc. heads to the company's general meeting in Osaka on May 24. The shareholders approved the planned merger with Matsuzakaya Holdings Co. Matsuzakaya shareholders also approved the plan, formally clearing the way for the creation of Japan's biggest department store group in September. (Kyodo)
