Toyota plug-in hybrid car approved for highway tests in Japan
TOKYO, Japan - Toyota Motor Corp.'s plug-in hybrid vehicle, which has become the first car of its kind to have been authorized by the government to conduct road tests in Japan. The Plug-in HV, based on the Prius model, uses a device that can be connected to household electricity outlets for battery charging. (Kyodo)
