Toyota wants to be 'front runner in quality,' president says
NAGOYA, Japan - Toyota Motor Corp. President Katsuaki Watanabe, addressing an audience in Nagoya on Sug. 27, says his company will target becoming a ''front runner in quality'' even as it stands poised to become the world's No. 1 automobile seller this year. ''It is possible to attain annual sales of 10 million vehicles soon, but we want to be a front runner in quality, not quantity.'' (Kyodo)
