Venus Williams falls to Virginie Razzano in Japan Open final

TOKYO, Japan - No. 5 seed Virginie Razzano of France returns a shot to top seed Venus Williams in the Japan Open final at Ariake Tennis Forest Park in Tokyo on Oct. 6, prevailing 4-6, 7-6 (9-7), 6-4. It was the second WTA victory for Razzano, ranked 33rd in the world. She won her first career WTA title in Guangzhou, China, the previous week. (Kyodo)
