Venue of 1983 'Ron-Yasu' summit opens as memorial hall
TOKYO, Japan - Former Prime Minister Yasuhiro Nakasone makes a speech on Nov. 10 during a ceremony celebrating the opening as a memorial hall of his private mountain cottage in western Tokyo known as a place where he held summit talks with then U.S. President Ronald Reagan in 1983. Nakasone, 89, said, ''I used to come to this place secretly whenever I wanted to be freed from heavy pressures of prime minister.'' (Kyodo)
