Fans line up for replay of men's handball Olympic qualifiers
TOKYO, Japan - Fans line up in front of Yoyogi national gymnasium in Tokyo on Jan. 30 for tickets to the replay of the men's handball Olympic qualifying game between Japan and South Korea. By 10 a.m., the line had swelled to 50 people. The International Handball Federation ordered the replays of Asian handball Olympic qualifiers after Japan and South Korea lodged protests over officiating by Middle Eastern referees in last year's qualifying tournament. Only Japan and South Korea are playing in the replays, which attracted huge interest among handball fans. About 6,000 advance tickets for the men's game sold out in only 40 minutes. (Kyodo)
