METI asks Crocs to improve plastic shoes

TOKYO, Japan - Lightweight plastic shoes manufactured by Crocs Inc. of the United States are displayed at a shop in Tokyo on April 18. Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry asked Crocs the same day to improve the structure and material of the plastic shoes to prevent them from getting stuck in escalators. (Kyodo)
