Japanese politicians visit Yasukuni to pay respects to war dead
TOKYO, Japan - A group of Diet members emerge from the sanctum of Yasukuni Shrine on April 22 after paying respects to Japanese war dead enshrined at the Shinto facility in Tokyo. A total of 62 lawmakers and 97 representatives of legislators from the Liberal Democratic Party, the Democratic Party of Japan and other political groups visited the shrine on the occasion of Yasukuni spring rites.
