Nissan's FY 2007 net profit up 4.7%, but outlook dismal
TOKYO, Japan - Nissan Motor Co. President Carlos Ghosn speaks at a news conference in Tokyo on May 13. Nissan said its group net profit in fiscal 2007 rose 4.7 percent from a year earlier to 482.26 billion yen but it expects sales and profits to fall in the current business year due partly to a stronger yen and a sluggish U.S. market.
