Business chiefs call for creation of 'liquid' carbon market
TOKYO, Japan - Klaus Schwab (L), executive chairman of the World Economic Forum, meets with Japanese Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda at the prime minister's office in Tokyo on June 20 to present him with a set of policy recommendations by chief executives from 99 global companies. The recommendations include the creation of a ''deep and liquid'' international carbon market as part of efforts to slash greenhouse gas emissions blamed for global warming. (Kyodo)
