Sapporo to offer tastings of beer made with 'space' barley

TOKYO, Japan - A woman holds two bottles of Space Barley beer from Sapporo Breweries Ltd. on Dec. 2, the world's first beer made with barley descending from plants grown inside the International Space Station. Sapporo said the same day it will hold tastings of Sapporo Space Barley in January, inviting a total of 30 couples through a lottery to the events at the company's six plants from Hokkaido to Oita Prefecture. The space brew is not available for sale. (Kyodo)
