Japan begins pulling out Iraqi airlift mission

TOKYO, Japan - A Japanese Air Self-Defense Force C-130 cargo plane (in this March 2004 file photo) heads for the Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait after its first Iraqi airlift mission. The ASDF transport unit began withdrawing from Kuwait on Dec. 15 following the completion of its four-year-and-nine-month Iraqi airlift mission. (Kyodo)
