Japan Airlines gears up for biofuel test flight
TOKYO, Japan - Two Japan Airlines Corp. workers on an airplane wing fill a tank with biologically-produced fuel at Haneda airport in Tokyo on Jan. 27 to prepare for an upcoming test flight. The flight, slated for Jan. 30, will be part of a Boeing Co.-led international project to test so-called second-generation biofuel produced from nonfood crops such as seeds, berries and seaweed.
