Japan's star golfer Ishikawa skies to prepare U.S. tours
NIKKO, Japan - Japanese teenage golfing star Ryo Ishikawa climbs up a slope while skiing at Kinugawakogen Country Club in Nikko, Tochigi Prefecture, north of Tokyo, on Feb. 8. Ishikawa, 17, was skiing as part of his training to prepare for a series of tournament tours in the United States which starts later this month, including the Masters Tournament in April. ''I'm ready to try various training methods by experiencing other sports,'' said Ishikawa, who will leave for the United States this week. (Kyodo)
