3 LDP lawmakers run in president election
TOKYO, Japan - (From L) Sadakazu Tanigaki, a former finance minister, Taro Kono, a former senior vice justice minister, and Yasutoshi Nishimura, a former parliamentary foreign vice minister, file their candidacies for the Sept. 28, 2009 presidential election of the Liberal Democratic Party. The winner will replace Taro Aso as head of the party, which suffered a crushing defeat in the general election in August. (Kyodo)
