Hatoyama leaves for U.S., making his diplomatic debut
TOKYO, Japan - Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama wearing a Pittsburgh Pirates' shirt and cap throws a ball to former Japanese Pirates pitcher Masumi Kuwata at the prime minister's office in Tokyo on Sept. 21, 2009, before his departure for the United States. Hatoyama will throw a ceremonial first pitch at a major league baseball game in Pittsburgh, where he will attend the Group of 20 financial sumit. (Kyodo)
