Chang defeats World No. 1 Safina at Toray Pan Pacs
TOKYO, Japan - Taiwanese qualifier Kai-chen Chang hits the ball to World No. 1 and defending champion Dinara Safina during the second round of the Toray Pan Pacific Open at Ariake Tennis Forest Park in Tokyo on Sept. 28, 2009. Chang, ranked 132nd in the world, stunned the Russian 7-6 (7-5), 4-6, 7-5 to advance to the third round. (Kyodo)
