Japan's Nagashima wins 500 meters at World Cup meet
HEERENVEEN, Netherlands - Japan's Keiichiro Nagashima celebrates after winning in the men's 500 meters at a World Cup speed skating meet at Heerenveen in the Netherlands, earning his first victory of the season and eighth overall on Nov. 13, 2009. Nagashima clocked 34.98 seconds to finish ahead of the United States' Tucker Fredricks and the Netherlands' Ronald Mulder, who timed 35.00 and 35.07, respectively. (Kyodo)
