U.S. has role to play in Asia's 'open regionalism': Hatoyama
SINGAPORE, Singapore - Japanese Prime Minister Yukio gives a speech on Nov. 14, 2009, in Singapore, where he is attending a summit of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum. Hatoyama called for an ''open regionalism'' in Asia in which the United States has a role to play and said that the Japan-U.S. alliance benefits economic and political stability in the area. (Kyodo)
