Hatoyama to remain in office despite indictment of ex-aides

TOKYO, Japan - Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama picks up a pen during a news conference at a hotel in Tokyo on Dec. 24, 2009, over the falsification of his political fund reports that led to the indictment earlier in the day of two of his former secretaries.
