Turkey "did best" to resolve hostage crisis: foreign minister
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu gives an interview in Ankara on Feb. 4, 2015. Regarding the recent hostage crisis involving the Islamic State militant group, Cavusoglu said that his country had made all-out efforts to seek the release of two Japanese hostages. The minister also told Kyodo News that Turkish intelligence authorities had known where the Japanese were detained and provided all the information to Tokyo. (Kyodo)
