Hokkaido man keeps diary since 1945 without skipping single day
Kenji Eguchi, a stationery store owner in Hokkaido Prefecture's Asahikawa, shows a page of his diary with drawings of a Pacific herring during an interview in October 2014, in the northern Japanese city. Eguchi, who was instructed to keep a diary a by his class teacher when he entered junior high school, has kept up with his daily routine for 70 years without skipping a single day since April 1, 1945.
