Kyushu Electric shows spent fuel pool at restarted nuke power plant
Photo taken in March 2015 shows a pool for storing spent fuel from the No. 1 reactor at Kyushu Electric Power Co.'s Sendai nuclear power plant in Satsumasendai, Kagoshima Prefecture, southwestern Japan. The 31-year-old reactor was restarted on Aug. 11, becoming the first to be brought back on stream in Japan under tightened safety regulations after the 2011 nuclear disaster at the Fukushima Daiichi power plant of Tokyo Electric Power Co.
