Poor left behind as New Orleans moves on 10 years after Katrina
A 70-year-old black resident in New Orleans' most impoverished Ninth Ward points to an abandoned house in the district on Aug. 26, 2015. The district has become a ghost town and little progress has been seen in its reconstruction since the Hurricane Katrina destruction in 2005, in stark contrast with the city's prosperous downtown French Quarter that has developed into a popular tourist spot.
