Documentary film to be aired on crew members hit by H-bomb fallout
Hideaki Ito, a 54-year-old director at Nankai Broadcasting Co. in Matsuyama, Ehime Prefecture, western Japan, unveils a plan on Aug. 27, 2015, to release a documentary film in November based on interviews with crew members of a Japanese fishing boat that was operating near Bikini Atoll in the South Pacific at the time of the U.S. hydrogen bomb test in 1954. Ito directed the shooting of an earlier documentary film titled "After X Years" which, released in 2012, focused on crew members of another Japanese fishing boat, the Lucky Dragon NO. 5, hit with radioactive fallout from the H-bomb test.
