Japanese publishers to fight against comic piracy in Thailand
Samples of comic books to be sold at stores in Thailand by the Japan Manga Alliance, established by publishing giants Kadokawa Corp., Kodansha Ltd., Shueisha Inc. and Shogakukan Inc. along with animation goods retailer Animate Co., are shown at a news conference announcing the launch of the joint venture in Tokyo on Sept. 1, 2015. The group hopes their presence in Bangkok will help terminate pirated versions in the country. (Kyodo)
