Peru's Machu Picchu to ink friendship pact with Fukushima village
File photo taken in August 2012 shows the famous Incan citadel ruins of Machu Picchu in Peru. The village of Machu Picchu has agreed to sign in Peru in October a friendship agreement with Otama in Japan's Fukushima Prefecture. The first Machu Picchu headman was said to be a man named Yokichi Nouchi hailing from the Japanese village. (Kyodo)
