Niigata residents get iodine pills to prepare for nuclear mishap

Residents of Kashiwazaki, Niigata Prefecture, northwestern Japan, receive potassium iodine pills on Sept. 17, 2015, that will mitigate the risk of thyroid cancer in the event of a nuclear disaster.
