Pink soy sauce from Tottori wins regional contest for specialties
Picture shows Hanakifujin, a brand of pinkish soy sauce made with beets from Tottori Prefecture, western Japan. The pink soy sauce was selected as the most unique local specialty in the Chugoku and Shikoku regions in western Japan in a contest in Hiroshima organized by newspapers throughout Japan on Sept. 17, 2015. It will be showcased at a national competition to be held in Tokyo on Oct. 19. (Kyodo)
