S. Korean expert concerned about Japan's "militarization"
South Korean Yonsei University professor Moon Chung In says in an interview with Kyodo News in Seoul on Sept. 21, 2015, that Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's failure to show remorse as regards Japan's wartime past in his recent statement issued on the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II is giving rise to concern in China and his country that Tokyo is heading for what he calls militarization. He said Japan's recent security-related legislation will contribute to wiping out a "hypocritical" situation in which war-renouncing Article 9 of Japan's pacifist Constitution and its powerful military coexist.
