Sculptor to dedicate Buddhist statue to quake-hit temple
Company employee-turned sculptor Yozan Miura's wooden sitting statue of Shaka Nyorai in the making is shown in Kyoto on July 31, 2015. He will dedicate it to the 2011 quake disaster-hit Koganji temple in Iwate Prefecture, northeastern Japan, when completed. The little statue (L, foreground) is its prototype. (Kyodo)
