Dohyoiri ritual held at Toshogu Shrine for 1st time
Mongolian yokozuna (grand champion) Kakuryu (C), who won the Autumn Grand Sumo Tournament in September, performs the Dohyoiri (entering the ring) ritual at Nikko Toshogu Shrine, the final resting place of Tokugawa Ieyasu, the founder of the Tokugawa Shogunate, in Nikko, Tochigi Prefecture, on Oct. 7, 2015. The ritual was held for the first time at the shrine as part of events marking the 400th anniversary of Ieyasu's death. (Kyodo)
