Safety of food from Fukushima highlighted at Expo Milano
A pair of Italian sisters try their hands at a tradition of Fukushima Prefecture at the Japan Pavilion of Expo Milano in Milan on Oct. 11, 2015, during an event to promote the safety of food from the northeastern Japanese prefecture, hit hard by the 2011 earthquake and subsequent nuclear crisis. The "dango-sashi" tradition of poking "dango" dumplings made of rice flour onto tree branches is conducted to pray for a good harvest. (Kyodo)
