Museum discovers rock with one of Japan's largest whale fossils
Hitoshi Furusawa, a researcher at the Sapporo Museum Activities Center in Sapporo shows in the Hokkaido Prefecture capital on Sept. 30, 2015, a rock containing what is believed to be one of Japan's largest whale fossils. It was found in Hokkaido's Tsukigata town in August 2011 and is currently undergoing cleaning at the center to separate the fossil from the rock. (Kyodo)
