Renowned artists receive Japanese art prize
Recipients of the 2015 Praemium Imperiale global art prize, granted annually by the Japan Art Association in honor of Prince Takamatsu, younger brother of the late Emperor Hirohito, attend an awards ceremony in Tokyo on Oct. 21, 2015. From L: graphic designer/illustrator Tadanori Yokoo of Japan, sculptor Wolfgang Laib of Germany, and two French nationals, architect Dominique Perrault and ballerina Sylvie Guillem.
