Nagasaki apologizes to kin of late S. Korean A-bomb victims

Bereaved relatives (R) of deceased South Korean atomic bombing survivors receive notifications in Seoul on Oct. 22, 2015, from Yoichi Hayashi (L), head of the Nagasaki prefectural government's support division for A-bomb victims, that revoke the Japanese city's earlier decision to turn down their demands for reimbursement of all medical expenses. Hayashi, who also apologized to the families, visited South Korea following the Supreme Court's September ruling that led the Japanese government to change its stance and agree to cover medical expenses of survivors living abroad.
