Abe pays respect to Japanese killed in Tajikistan on U.N. mission
Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe (C) and his wife Akie lay flowers at a monument in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, on Oct. 24, 2015, in memory of compatriot Yutaka Akino, who was killed by anti-government forces there in 1998 when deployed as a parliamentary secretary to the U.N. Mission of Observers in Tajikistan. Abe is on a weeklong tour of Mongolia and five Central Asian countries to strengthen ties with the resource-rich region. (Kyodo)
