Farmer grows Japanese apples in northern Pakistani village
A Pakistani farmer stands in his orchard which grows a Japanese variety of apples in Mor Khun, a Hunza Valley village in the country's north, on Aug. 11, 2016. Cultivation of Japanese-variety apples began in the area in the late 2000s after Japanese diplomats in Pakistan brought saplings from a town in Nagano Prefecture, a leading apple-producing region in central Japan.
