WWII air raid survivor's poems reflect citizen's views over 60 years
Nobuo Inaki, a survivor of the 1945 U.S. air raid of Fukui city in central Japan during World War II, speaks in an interview on Oct. 30, 2015, of his poems written over six decades. In addition to daily life and the nature and culture of the Hokuriku region, Inaki's poems also involve social issues such as war and the controversy over nuclear power, reflecting the course of postwar history in Japan from a citizen's viewpoint.
