Tsunami-hit popular restaurant reopened in northeastern Japan town
Undated photo shows Kenji Chiba, owner of the Kamome Diner restaurant in Kesennuma, Miyagi Prefecture, with a popular "Kamome ramen" noodle dish. The shop, damaged by the 2011 tsunami, opened in a different place in the northeastern Japanese city on Nov. 19, 2015, for the first time since 2006 when it was closed in the absence of a successor to the previous owner. Chiba hopes it will help encourage the city's further recovery. (Kyodo)
