France unveils 1,000 top restaurants, with Japan outnumbering France
Undated photo shows Yosuke Imada, the owner and chef of Tokyo-based sushi restaurant Kyubey. A list of 1,000 outstanding restaurants around the world unveiled in December 2015 by the French foreign ministry has restaurants in Japan outnumbering those in France, making Japan the most featured country on the list. Kyubey placed seventh and is the second highest-ranked Japanese restaurant, after third-ranked Kyo Aji, also located in Tokyo. (Kyodo)
