Father's rule haunts Marcos Jr. in Philippine vice presidential bid
This Oct. 7, 2015 photo shows Philippine senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos, Jr., son of the country's late dictator, speaking at a news forum a week before he formalized his candidacy for vice president for the May 2016 national elections. Bongbong's vice presidential bid is being challenged by various groups that continue to criticize his father's 1965-1986 rule, most of which was under martial law. (Kyodo)
