KDDI develops teddy bear-shaped communication tool
KDDI Corp. unveils the "Comi Kuma" bears -- a communication tool in the shape of a teddy bear -- in Tokyo on March 29, 2016. The telecom company said the stuffed animal with 12 built-in censors and a Bluetooth module to work in sync with a smartphone, is suitable for use by young children and grandparents living apart to stay close to each other. If a user kisses a Comi Kuma bear, for instance, a corresponding image showing a bear kissing another bear will appear on the display in the ribbon worn by a bear belonging to another user. (Kyodo)
