Nepal launches reconstruction of monuments 1 year after deadly quakes
Kathmandu Durbar Square, a UNESCO world heritage site, is seen on April 25, 2016. Ninety percent of monuments there were damaged or destroyed by quakes the previous year. The structures that remain standing have been shored up with wooden supports. Nepal officially launched reconstruction of the cultural monuments the same day. (Kyodo)
